Aux. Field #1 Runway “almost” Complete!

Our part is almost finished... Now we wait for the sun to shrink the geotextile material!
Our part is almost finished… Now we wait for the sun to shrink the geotextile material!

It all started last Saturday, the 14th, and then we FLEW off of it on Sunday, the 15th… and since then we have been busy trying to get all of the edges smoothed-out and sealed-up… and Today, the 18th, it’s DONE! …. almost! All of the seams are smoothed and plastered with roofing compound… the perimeter of all of the runway has staples at about every 6- or 8-inches.
… Now, when Ben Poole and David Duke finish the patch-work-piece over the center-joint on the runway that they were talking about, we’ll be ready to paint that white center-line and call it DONE, for real!

It’s been quite an effort… a Special Thanks to the usual suspects in a project of this type… TOO many to list without leaving someone out! We have had GREAT teamwork and participation!
Go, Golden Eagles, go!

Come out and FLY with the Kingman Golden Eagles RC Club!
